I am doing my research at UGA Linguistics Department for Computational and Neural Linguistics, under the direction of Professor John Hale. During my study here, I have been exploring the brain mechanism of zero pronouns and their discourse support resources. Before landing in this field, I had study experience in Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Electric Engineering (which were all helpful for me to realize how wonderful computational and neural linguistics are).

Using computational methods, this study quantifies context coherence in the discourse, and examines how it supports omitted pronouns in Chinese, Brazilian Portugese, and Spanish. This study discusses the effect of verb syncretism and its effect on pro-drop.
