Tucker received his undergraduate degrees in Linguistics and German from the University of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude in the spring of 2021. He is primarily interested in sociolinguistics and discourse analysis. More specifically, Tucker focuses on how various intersectional identities are navigated and negotiated, linguistically and otherwise, across rural and urban spaces of the American South. His most recent research has focused on the LGBTQ+ community.

Tucker was also a Future Faculty Fellow for the year of 2025, selected to partake in a cohort of 15 Ph.D. students/instructors from various departments across campus to develop and reflect on their teaching capabilities. In this program, Tucker led T.A. cafés and workshops with other cohort members and served as a leader for the university's graduate and TA communities. Most recently, we was a nominee for the Excellence in Teaching Award.
