Senior Lecturer Mi-Ran Kim received her Ph. D. degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is interested in acoustic analyses of languages. She is also interested in native language influence on target language pronunciations. Her publications include several articles on acoustic analyses of Korean stop consonants, approximants, and prosody of Korean words produced by English speakers. She is currently the supervisor of the LING2100 Teaching Assistants.
