Keith Langston, Professor of Linguistics, was recently awarded a three-year, $450,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to study endangered languages on the Istrian peninsula of Croatia and the Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic Sea.

On Friday September 16, at 3:00 PM in Gilbert Hall, room 118 Dr. Michał Głuszkowski will lead a workshop "The use of sociology and social science methodology in linguistics".

We are pleased to host a presentation by Dr. Michał Głuszkowski, visiting scholar from Uniwersytet Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu (Nicolaus Copernicus University) who will presenting research entitled “Sociolinguistic processes in language islands".
